Nutrition Counseling

I have a life long passion for the study of nutrition! And, I avidly endorse organic agriculture in helping to protect our planet and thus our health. Having provided nutrition counseling for decades, I love supporting clients to improve their health by improving their diet!
You’ll complete a comprehensive diet assessment from which we create an individualized plan to support your journey to wellness. Conditions for counseling include weight loss, high blood pressure, heart disease, GI issues etc.

Meditation

Meditation can transform your life. It is a necessary tool for shifting the experience of life toward greater clarity, appreciation, gratitude, peace and joy! Meditation helps us to joyfully realize, experientially, who we are beyond the egoic state.
In these classes we practice meditations described by leading meditation masters. We practice both wisdom, heart and energetic practices to provide balance and integration. Teachers include but are not limited to Thich Nhat Hanh, Pema Chodron, Jack Kornfield, Sally Kempton, etc.
Each class has an introductory explanation of the meditation, a 30-40 minute practice period,
and time for discussion and clarification. This is a great opportunity to participate in a variety of deep meditative experiences and to freshen your practice!

Private Meditation Classes
Private meditation classes are also available to fit your needs.
For example, some clients new to meditation simply feel more comfortable in private sessions.
Other clients are couples who value learning privately with each other.
Clients recovering from trauma prefer the confidentiality of separate sessions.

Friday Night Yoga
“The Body is a Gateway to the Soul”
This is a spacious, meditative 1.5 hour class. We practice yoga postures for both strength and flexibility. Movements are both flowing (sometimes free dance) with static holds as well. Classes can include pranayama (yogic breathing techniques) and spiritual readings before an extended corpse posture 15-20 minutes with guided meditation. Restorative postures included.
Suitable for beginner and moderate levels.
Tuesday and Thursday Night Yoga

These one hour classes are designed to tune up the whole body! Every part of the body is strengthened and stretched while listening to inspiring and meditative music. Taught in a creative, eclectic, enlivening yet meditative style.
Suitable for beginner and moderate levels.
Saturday Morning Yoga

An energetic class using light weights (optional) which emphasizes strength, flexibility and Presence.
Everyone’s invited. Members range in age from 30-80!

Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is a systematic meditative technique which cultivates the profound relaxation of conscious deep sleep. This deepest of meditations can help to purify the mind, enhance awareness and thus reduce anxiety. Many find that Yoga Nidra relieves entrenched levels of stress. It also helps with healing from illness, insomnia, depression, addiction, chronic pain and post traumatic stress disorder.
Ultimately Yoga Nidra helps us to dis-identify with passing mental states, the physical body, emotions, sensations i.e. any of the experiences of consciousness. It helps us to experience and hence identify with the purity of witness state of awareness.
Traditionally this practice is done comfortably lying on the floor.
Restorative Yoga

In a nurturing candlelight environment, we abide in comfortable, well-supported positions that gently and passively open the body. Release layers of physical and mental stress in this gentle grounding practice, while listening to elevating music. Here our breath can flow more deeply while calming guided meditations help us to deepen inner peace.

Would you like to improve or maintain your fitness level?
With years of yoga practice, massage and personal training experience, I have an educated and intuitive approach to the body. Sessions include an evaluation of your fitness level from which I design an individualized program to support your goals. Clients have gone from unconditioned levels of fitness to optimal fitness with my support, training and guidance. Others train with me to maintain their current level of fitness, so important as we age. Come improve your strength, balance, coordination, flexibility and endurance.

Energy Healings

These sessions affect the subtle energy body and help us to connect with our higher self. They give energetic support such that old patterns can be realized and released. The client can be sitting or lying down with my hands above or on the body in an intuitive pattern. Similar to Reiki (I am certified in Reiki as well), these sessions can involve compassionate listening and guidance to support clarity, understanding and healing.
